Roche Harbor, occurs as sheltered harbor on the north-west side of San Juan Island in San Juan County, Washington, and the places of the resort of the equivalent title.
the resort was at one time a company town surrounding the Tacoma and Roche Harbor Lime Company, which was incorporated in 1886. Lime production was the major industry & revenue source for a corporation process by John S. McMillinside, world health organization is buried in the big mausoleum nearby. A focal point of the resort is the historic Hotel de Haro. A resort likewise operates one of a big marinas in the San Juan Islands.
A harbor itself will bring one of a better secure anchorages in the islands; these are surrounded on the east side by San Juan Isl&, on the northward and west by Pearl Island and Brown Island. Virtually all of the harbor is 35 to 45 feet (11 to 14 meters) deep.
